WW2 U.S. M1 FIXED BALE FRONT SEAMED HELMET
This is a WW2 U.S M1 fixed bale front seamed helmet which was produced between July 1941 to October 1943. The chinstrap has a fitting missing on one side due to rusting. The liner is maker marked with the makers emblem the letter "F" within a shield, which identifies the manufacturer as Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. This is a nice example of M1 front seamed swivel bale helmet which would have been produced between October 1943 to October 1944, when the stainless steel rim was replaced with a manganese rim. The chinstraps are in olive drab No7 and have a steel buckle.. The liner missing its liner neck band and chinstrap. It is maker marked "CAPAC" for the Capac Manufacturing Company. read more
