DEACTIVATED WALTHER P1 PISTOL (UK DEACTIVATION)
This is a deactivated Walther P1 pistol which is the post-war version of wartime P38, This one has a nice Walther P1 magazine to match as well, This one was deactivated in 2009 so it is able to strip, cock and dry fire, The barrel locking lug has been removed during the deactivation process. The main difference between the P1 and P38 is the frame is made of a lightweight alloy and the side grip extends past the safety catch and black plastic grips. In fact early post-war examples retained the P38 designation however when officially excepted into the Bundeswehr the pistol was designated the P1 and continued to be used by the West Germany and Austria to the early 1990's. All post-war P38/P1 pistols where solely produced by Walther. This example is dated November 1982 ( 11/82 ) and stamped 'BW" for Bundeswehr. UK sales only.
