WW2 U.S. M1 FIXED BALE FRONT SEAMED HELMET

This is a WW2 U.S M1 fixed bale front seamed helmet which was produced between July 1941 to October 1943. The chinstrap has a fitting missing on one side due to rusting. The liner is maker marked with the makers emblem the letter "F" within a shield, which identifies the manufacturer as Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. Front front of the inside of the helmet also looks to have numbers but its very difficult to make out.
